What are the side effects of Prednisolone Acetate 1% Ophthalmic Suspension - 5 ml?
Using corticosteroids for a prolonged period of time could damage the optic nerve from the development of glaucoma. It could also cause formation of posterior subcapsular cataracts or defects in fields of vision and visual acuity.
Secondary ocular infections have an increased risk, as prolonged use may suppress the immune response.
What special precautions are there?

Contact your veterinarian immediately if your pet has any of the following symptoms:

Facial swelling
